ORGAN RECITAL
Join us for an afternoon of music on St Mary’s pipe-organ, where Hamsa Arnold explores a variety of musical styles from Bach’s majestic Prelude in E-flat major to the iconic Soundtrack of Interstellar (Zimmer).
Specially featured are two compositions by women composers: Cecilia Mc Dowall’s captivating ‘O Antiphon Sequence’ and Florence Beatrice Price’s magical ‘Elf on a Moonbeam’.
The boundaries of classic organ music are further explored in Ad Wammes ‘Fiducie’, with its rhythmic, driving energy, carrying a strong hope for a peace beyond.
